LOADSHEDDING FROM 20:00 UNTIL MIDNIGHT IN KAE

Eskom will implement Stage 1 rotational loadshedding from 09:00 this morning until 06:00 tomorrow morning.

Unplanned outages were at 11 016MW as at 06:55 this morning. Stage 1 loadshedding has been implemented to replenish emergency reserves and owing to a shortage of capacity.

Loadshedding for KAE has been scheduled from 20:00 tonight until 00:30 just after midnight. KAE falls under block 3A and includes Kaalfontein, Allandale, Ebony Park, Austin View, Glen Austin, Halfway House, Ivory Park, Phomolong, Rabie Ridge, Klipfontein, President Park and Vorna Valley.

Meanwhile, City Power shutdown Rabie Ridge substation in Midrand last night for emergency maintainance. This was to allow clean up of feeder boards folliwing an explosion incident on Saturday.

UPDATE 20:55: Electricity has been restored. Eskom has suspended loadshedding until 09:00 tomorrow, 12 February 2020. KAE not affected tomorrow.
