MALL OF AFRICA CLICKS STORE CLOSED
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) shutdown Clicks Stores across the country today, 7 September 2020.
This comes after the Clicks company published a controversial advert on their website.
On the advert, African hair is depicted as being “Dry & Damaged” while White hair is depicted as “Fine & Flat”.
The company has since issued an apology for the offensive advert and committed to playing a role of creating a diverse and inclusive South Africa.
The Secretary General of the EFF, Marshall Dlamini, led supporters and members to close the Clicks at Mall of Africa in Midrand.
The political party has vowed to close all Clicks stores until demands are met by Clicks management. The party’s demand include publicizing and dismissing all employees that approved the controversial advert to be published.
