OKAE MOLAO!?
Two Nigerian men were recently arrested in Midrand for possession of drugs and attempted bribing for R5000.00. An amount of R14 910.00, a drug scale and cellphones were confiscated. The pair are due to appear in court soon.
#OkaeMolao is a program targeted at ensuring police visibility, assert the role of the state as well as as root out corruption irrespective of who does it. Many shops have been raided as well and suspects arrested.
The police arrested more than 500 suspects for serious and violent crimes such as murder, rape, robbery, hijacking, possession of drugs, possession of suspected stolen property and theft. Counterfeit goods were confiscated from various shops around Gauteng.
