POSSIBILITY OF LOADSHEDDING OVER THE NEXT 18 MONTHS
Kaalfontein, Allandale, Ebony Park, Ivory Park, Rabie Ridge and President Park will experience loadshedding twice tomorrow. First at 00:00 to 04:00 in the morning then at 16:00 to 20:30 at night.
Eskom this evening of the 5th of February 2020 announced that loadshedding will continue until Friday with a high probability of loadshedding over the weekend. Eskom says this is because of a shortage in capacity with a higher demand of about 2000
MW for electricity.
The Power Utility said “Eskom also wishes to remind South Africans that there’s an increased possibility of loadshedding over the next 18 months as Eskom is conducting critical maintenance to restore it’s plant to good health”.
“We don’t take the decision to implement loadshedding lightly but the reality is that our generating infrastructure is Constrained and unreliable.” added the Group CEO Andre de Ruyter.
Households are requested to use electricity sparingly. We will continue giving regular updates of the schedule.
