LOADSHEDDING FOR THE WEEKEND

The national power utility, Eskom, announced this morning of the 31st of January 2020, that loadshedding will continue with Stage 2 from 09:00 today until Monday 3 February 2020.

Unplanned outages were at 12 722 MW as at 05:30 this morning. “We are monitoring the system and will continue to give periodic updates as things may change at short notice”.

Yesterday, Eskom implemented loadshedding at 21:00 and stopped at 06:00 this morning. However, City of Johannesburg residents were not affected as City Power had enough reserves to avoid loadshedding.

Customers are urged to continue to use electricity sparingly.
