Kaalfontein native and rising star Slindokuhle “Slee” Tshabalala has come a long way since her days as a presenter on SABC 1’s YOTV youth show, The Big Breakfast.

Three years after we first featured her on KAE News, Slee now stars as Mandisa in eTV’s new telenovela, “Nikiwe”, alongside a star-studded cast that includes Israel Zulu, Lungelo Mpangase, Lorcia Cooper, Kenneth Nkosi, and more.


“Nikiwe”, tells the story of the Radebe family and their rise and fall in the world of “hood rich” living. It explores the theme of being “hood rich” and follows the story of the Radebe family and their rise and fall in a family empire based in Diepkloof Extension, Pimville, and Orlando, Soweto.

Our Slee plays the role of Mandisa in the telenovela.

Tshabalala, who attended Midrand High School and is currently studying Logistics and Supply Chain Management at UJ, is excited to be a part of the show.

The telenovela is produced by Thomas Gumede and Lungile Radu of Parental Advisory Productions and airs weekdays at 18:30. Catch the repeat at noon on weekdays.
