UNREST IN MIDRAND AND SURROUNDING AREAS
The unlawlessness and chaos continues in Gauteng. We understand looters are targeting the Midrand CBD. Most stores are closed.
Police have advised retail stores and foreign owned shops in Midrand, Tembisa, Ebony Park and Kaalfontein to shut down as a precautionary measures and mitigation for approaching looters.
Motorists and residents are advised to exercise extra caution. Heavy police presence is on the ground. CPF, SAPS, Private Security and JMPD are on the scene.
UPDATE: Midrand CBD is calm and clear. Most shops remain closed including China Mall
