GRAND CENTRAL AND RABIE RIDGE RESERVOIRS LOW

Johannesburg Water (JW) just announced that the Grand Central and Rabie Ridge reservoirs are empty.

Please note that Rabie Ridge reservoir and tower are off line. Mayibuye and Rabie Ridge can still expect shortages, however the levels in the reservoir are slowly improving.

In addition, kindly be advised that both Grand central reservoir and tower are empty and have been closed. Areas affected are Halfway House and Randjiesfontein, JW will have roaming water tanks.

JW’s appeals to all to use water sparingly and to remind them that level one water restrictions are still in place. Watering of gardens is not allowed between 6am & 6pm (1 Sept to 31 March) and furthermore people are not allowed to wash paved areas and driveway using hosepipes.
