MOTORCYCLIST FATALLY SHOT AND BIKE STOLEN IN IVORY PARK

Last night, a motorcyclist was shot and killed in the area known as Thutukani Informal Settlement in Ivory Park 2. The perpetrators then made off with the victim’s bike.

The Ivory Park SAPS have launched an investigation into the incident and are appealing to the community for any information that may help in bringing the culprits to justice.

“Someone out there may have seen something. We urge you to come forward and share any information that may be relevant to this case. We cannot allow criminals to roam our streets and take innocent lives,” said Brigadier David Mbongeni Ngcobo, the station commander of the Ivory Park SAPS.

“Motorcycles seem to be in demand by the criminals,” noted Brigadier Ngcobo. He also appealed to people who have recently noticed their neighbors or tenants in possession of motorcycles to report this to the police.

The police are urging anyone who may have information about the incident or any other crimes to contact them on 08600 10111 or their local police station. The Ivory Park SAPS can be reached on 011 990 9600.

The community is encouraged to work together with the police to bring an end to the senseless violence that has plagued Ivory Park in recent times. The loss of another life to crime is a tragedy that should not be taken lightly. It is time for the community to take a stand and say enough is enough.
